“Having known Perry Ewell for over 20 years, I can confidently say I have never met an educator more dedicated to the profession. He routinely goes above and beyond, frequently being the last to leave the school, and his extensive tenure speaks to his deep commitment. Perry inspires his students and actively guides them toward success. Moreover, he possesses the rare and invaluable ability to step back and truly listen when challenges arise. His thoughtful, collaborative approach makes him an exceptional candidate, and he would be a phenomenal addition to the Nebo School District Board of Education.”

“I’ve known Perry Ewell for over 20 years as a teacher, community member, and delegate, and few people better reflect the values of our community. He is a builder—someone who lifts others and strengthens every community he’s part of. His students consistently come to the Capitol prepared, thoughtful, and ready to engage—I’ve seen this firsthand, including with my own children. Perry listens, understands that parents are the primary directors of education, and acts with purpose. He will be an outstanding member of the Nebo School Board.

BEFORE YOU Vote

Common questions.

Why are you running for the Nebo School Board?

After 37 years in education and a lifetime in Nebo schools, I want to continue serving students, families, teachers, and taxpayers by helping keep our schools strong and focused on student success.

What makes you qualified for this position?

I bring decades of classroom experience, leadership experience, community involvement, and firsthand understanding as both an educator and parent of nine children who attended Nebo schools.

What are your top priorities?

My priorities are responsible spending, strong academic and career opportunities for students, supporting quality teachers, and making sure parents and community members have a voice in district decisions.

What does “conservative leadership” mean to you?

To me, conservative leadership means fiscal responsibility, strong family values, local control, transparency, accountability, and putting students and taxpayers first.

How will you listen to parents and teachers?

I believe the people closest to students often have the best insight, and I will prioritize open communication, respectful dialogue, and thoughtful collaboration with parents, teachers, and staff.
